I paid $1K to dentist for custom night guard. It now only fits to maintain my jaw in the WRONG position that involves a neck & spinal posture twist & ocular muscle compensation symptoms, all of which I have put a lot of money & effort into correcting.
The oral/spine/ocular are an interactive proprioceptive feedback balance system.
My career was in ophthalmology. Most eye Drs only care if you see 20/20. Dentists & Head & Neck pain specialists are afraid to work on another dentist’s appliance & look at me like I have two heads if I also bring visual into the equation.
The fact this appliance accommodates the interaction while correcting bite, ocular, & postural symptoms as I am working my way to feeling more grounded than ever before in my life (never knew what I didn’t know I was missing—takes up a lot of brain power when the body doesn’t feel grounded, brain power that can be freed up to live life!!)
There ARE Eye Dr’s who understand all of this & I have one who learned how to work with it at my urging. Now I finally found the oral tool that is right: Reviv.
As your body posture changes, consider the body things that have & are helping me: rolfing, whole body vibration, yin yoga.
The amazing thing about Reviv is it accommodates for any body changes without having to beg a dentist to try to understand the concept.
Same sentiment re: expensive custom bottom teeth mouthguard fitting only for the dysfunction you had when the mouthguard was made.
And MDs and dentists look at my sideways also when I say something about the jaw’s relation to the pelvis; eyes & cerebellum relation to the foot for balance compensations/proprioception, and tongue position relative to regulation of pressure all the way to pelvic floor— we are a series of pressurized domes from foot to skull and the reviv model seems to take that into account.
If the brain is getting misinformation from a collapse in any of those domes, our senses and physiological processes will be affected.
Helpful write up. You defined some terms that had been unclear-thank you! Happy with my Reviv progress and looking forward to trying the second version!
I want so much to wear this guard but I already have sleep problems & I cannot sleep with this in my mouth. It’s so big I can’t close my mouth & the small that you sent with it is way small like for a kid. Anyway I haven’t worn it in over 2 weeks! I will try again.
Do you think that would be a better fit & help me sleep?
I was able to sleep a bit last night with the R1 just started trying it again after 2 weeks. I’ll keep trying but if you think the R2 medium would work better for me lmk.
But I have trouble sleeping with R1 it’s so large. Do you think I could sleep better with R2 Medium? I just hate that it’s yellow. Ick. Why can’t you make it clear like the kids guard that you sent? ( never understood why you sent me that)
If you cannot use it then our policy is that you keep the appliance and we refund you what you paid minus $15, which is about what it costs for us to pack and ship it to you.
Last night I was able to keep mouth guard in most of night. When it woke me up I took it out I washed it off & reinserted. Then I slept a few more hours. So I’ll keep trying although I might order the R2 when there’s more feedback.
That was good but now I’m back to only wearing it a few hours. It dries my mouth out! I went to sleep with it in , woke without. Couldn’t find it so figured I must have taken it out while asleep. Found it tangled up in bedsheets! Frustrating.

Medical school doesn’t teach that afaik.

Would the new R2 medium work better for me?
i have a feeling R2 medium will work better if R1 small is too small
Should be easier on the gums too
So when can I try the R2 medium for women?
Do you think that would be a better fit & help me sleep?
I was able to sleep a bit last night with the R1 just started trying it again after 2 weeks. I’ll keep trying but if you think the R2 medium would work better for me lmk.
Thanks
Rebecca
we just started selling & shipping the R2 medium https://getreviv.com/products/reviv-two-without-support?variant=46058241163505
my experience having used R1 large is that it is easier to sleep with.
But perhaps better to wait till more feedback comes in as we just started shipping yesterday

No I’m not on the skool
When can I order the R2medium & what if I don’t like it?
It is shipping since last week. Available here: https://getreviv.com/products/reviv-two-without-support?variant=46007904141553
