I hope you will encourage your grinders to do pinworms and parasite treatment. It was 100% the cause of grinding in our home. Immediately gone after treatment.

Folks trade these tips in the skool community and i am completely supportive of other stuff that folks want to do in combination.

I try not to personally endorse things unless i, myself, have done it. But definitely post about it in skool if you haven't as i'm sure a lot of folks would benefit.

I respect how you are moving the ball forward in responsiveness to customers, despite the obstacles. I will always support an entrepreneur with that mentality -- even if it takes buying a few more R versions. Looking forward to R2 for my daughter who had the gum issues and for me who has been clenching and wearing them out a bit faster than expected.

Hey Ken, can I still buy an R1 large? I’m sitting in an airport today waiting for my next flight and have been planning to purchase a second backup R1. (Congrats on R2). If yes R1, I will also purchase an R2 medium, since you said it worked fine with most women.

I only had trouble with the R one large for a week or so on my upper gums. It’s been totally comfy since around Christmas. I know my spine is straightening and I’m feeling good. My front gap closing very nicely.

Thanks for everything and I just shared your sub stack account with a dear friend who just was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2024 .

yes sure we will continue selling R1.

And i think it makes a good, lower priced 'starter' appliance for folks.

Thank you for your support!

PS: when I order my R1 and R2, I’ll indicate on my order that they can be shipped at the same time.

The R1 it’s still good to wear, and I don’t grind my teeth, so it’s holding up fine except I notice or can feel that it’s getting a little bit porous. Maybe from acidic saliva or something like that. I cleaned it about once a week with water and maybe just a tiny bit of sub. But I do have plaque buildup that just won’t come off. But it’s no big deal and I love my R1

ok thank you. Also i think you should able to add them both to the cart and put in one order in which case they'll be shipped together by default.

Sub should say dish soap.😊

Glad to see there will be a slightly smaller appliance for women. I struggled wearing the original because of that. I look forward to ordering the new one.

Congratulations Ken on the launch of your R2. So exciting and can’t wait to receive it .

The R1 was amazing and has made such a difference for me although I managed to mangle a couple so am really looking forward to the new version.

Once again Ken thanks for sharing your story and amazing work 👍👍

Ken, I signed in to my Reviv account, and the R1 is the only appliance that shows up. Do you have a link that gets me to the R2? I like the idea of the lower sides...my gums are still hurting, even after 3 months of using it! Thanks!

sure this is the link to the R2 https://getreviv.com/products/reviv-two-without-support?variant=46007904141553

wow.. still hurting after 3 months.. didnt think it would last that long

Thanks for the link, Ken! The spot where it hurts is right where I had a tooth extracted several years back. I'm wondering if it could be a bone chip sticking out, or something! It doesn't have the same texture as the rest of my upper jaw.

Expand full comment
EGK's avatar

i doubt its that..

I have a feeling it relates to perhaps the damage of the tooth extraction reversing a bit.

For example i remember years back a dentist showing me before and after 3d scans of folks that had extractions but were using a flat plane splint to reverse the damage. And the bone was coming back.

might be related to this.

Ie. could it be good pain?

Perfect timing. I thought about buying a second R1 because I’m beginning to chew through it (Is that normal? I find myself biting down hard on it all night ). Just ordered the R2. Thanks for your work.

some folks definitely bite down hard on it when sleeping. I think it relates to the muscles being stretched.

But its def not everyone.

Yes, I went chewed through mine in 3 months and I wasn't even wearing it every night; I alternated between R1 and ShockDoctor.

Hi Ken, Just wondering I am 15 and have bought the R1 small size, after 3-4 months is it guaranteed to be worn or is there a possibility it will continue to work effectively for longer?

Expand full comment
EGK's avatar

yes it can potentially last longer.. if you arent grinding/clenching and if you take care of it.

Hi Ken

I ordered 2 large R1s recently for myself and my wife and think they are fine though my wife has a smaller bite and it looks like the medium R2 would be a better fit for her as the upper gum irritation is a problem. I would also order a large R2 for myself. How do I put in an order for one large and one medium on the order page? Seems like it's one or the other.

I wonder...not to be superficial or anything...but does it correct sagging skin? And, I am 61 years old. Will I see the changes in my lifetime? :)

Yes my skin has tightened a lot in the last 3-4 years. Are you already using the reviv?

I have not purchased it yet, but I plan to. Thanks for your response!

PS: Do you have any sort of timeline for what to expect for the average person each week/month, as far as what may occur that will be noticeable?

EGK's avatar

I think you'll start to see changes within a month.

But everyone has a different starting point and velocity.. so i've found it impossible to predict any specific timescales.

hi, try to measure the width of the outer edges of the upper molars as i show here https://share.cleanshot.com/9M7ldLLm

And compare to the widths of the r2 sizes

Note that we do have 'size charts' on our website with some info here https://share.cleanshot.com/MstyPPLC

hmm u can probably go either way with medium or large. Large might be better as you can still use when the arches widen a bit

Which one would be better for someone with large tori? They are on upper and lower, would one fit better be more effective?

EGK's avatar

Most likely the R2 as it doesnt come down as far.

But i also encourage folks to ask on our community as there are a number of folks who have tori i believe.
