I have ordered Reviv, 5 of them, for myself and family. They are on their way. I have experienced physically many of the things you have described. I am 54, at age 17, all 4 wisdom teeth were removed because of impaction. I'd also had fitted plastic mouthguards for grinding over the years. Very much looking forward to the reviv process.

Reshaping fascia through asana and pranayama does happen. I have experienced a great degree of alignment and yet still feel discomfort.

I was wondering, if worn nightly for 7-8 hours, how long will the guard last? How can you tell you need a fresh one?

Thank you!

So i will honestly say that im not sure how long it will last.

I 'believe' it should last about a year if you dont bite on it much.

The reason i say im not sure is because i used the myobrace a1 for years and looked for a guard that was as similar as possible. But of course the Reviv One is a bit different.

If it cracks or deforms you should get a new one.

Is anyone part of the Reviv community? As i also show how to do the polymorph clipons which i highly recommend for daytime use

This is one of my favorite posts you've written Ken, I feel like a new level has been unlocked for me, so thanks 🤣🙌🏼.

I can't really tell if I have painful pressure points in my mouth. Right now I don't really seem to other than soreness from the reviv along my gums. I found a little about oral acupressure points, so I'm going to play around with that.

i would be very very surprised if u didnt have a lot of painful spots in your mouth when poking deep wtih a stick.

my other rule for myself is.. when you can poke a stick deep into any area of your mouth and feel no pain.. u are probably done

Alrighty I have some work to do then! 🧐 I'll try this with a toothbrush tomorrow.

I recently spent a lot of money to Botox my trigger points to absolutely no relief. I guess the good news is I don’t have to keep spending lots of money for the treatment. I’m going to have to look into Reviv.

Lol, I feel like every other article you post is a mini-biography of me. I, too, discovered trigger point therapy around 2008. I bought the Davies & Davies book, 2nd edition, then bought the 3rd edition when it was published. I do TPT practically every day because it saves me from having to go to the massage therapist and/or chiropractor every week. And yes, I notice that it's a hamster wheel. When I hit the correct trigger points, I get immense relief. But they keep coming back.

Wearing the mouthguard has eliminated most of the TMJ-related trigger points. But I still have a stiff neck and shoulders.... So I keep working on those trigger points with my Theracane and running in that hamster wheel. Lol

hahaha nice...

as long as you're wearing a mouthguard at night then all of that trigger point work is gonna stop being hamsterwheel and keep pushing things forward.

I'm going to look into these books. I lay on a really hard ball my chiropractor gave me for the spots on the back of my head and neck most days. The reviv has reduced a lot of my pain too!

I can totally relate to the yoga hamster wheel! I did yoga faithfully prior to covid, and when the local studio went out of business, I went with the flow and couch-potatoed bigtime! All the strength and flexibility I'd gained just vanished...and it feels like I just keep getting weaker and more stiffened up. Learning about dental biomechanics makes ALL the sense! I can't wait for my Reviv to arrive...the extended shipping time is pretty rough! I've been using an over-the-counter appliance that has flat swiveling pads on it, and have played around with building it up with the polymorph. Exciting times!!

Oh and my pain, starting up in my early twenties and getting worse like yours, is also in my shoulders, head and neck. I don't have any vocal weakness or strain like you've described but I do feel a sort of "blockage" in my throat, as in the chakra if you will lol. I do struggle to express myself verbally sometimes. I also realized a few years ago that it literally feels like some of my life force is TRAPPED by the way my teeth come together... But I didn't have words or understanding of why, so finding your stuff was like a gold mine for me personally. An airway dentist once told me that I have to scoot my mandible back, then up to occlude with my top teeth. She compared it to trying to back a large car into a small garage.

That's also why I stopped myofunctional therapy. I think it's a wonderful complimentary practice when combined with stuff that works ....but by itself it felt wrong to build a muscle (my tongue) in a space that was too small for it. That's also why I think all these general dentists going rogue lately and doing adult tongue tie revisions without any real understanding is dangerous.

Have you tried stretching the tongue, that seems to do good too.

yes i did a lot of myofunctional therapy back in 2016-18 along with dabbing a stick into trigger points deep in the mouth.

All of this works. It all changes the occlusion.

It's all part of how i developed the 'faster approach'. So i recommend you continue to explore down this path

If you weren’t saving the world with a mouth guard I’d like your confirmation bias less skepticism

I admit that i have a fair amount of confirmation bias at this point. Based on the things ive seen and done to myself my lens on almost everything has changed and its impossible to see the world differently.

But what i dont think you get is that if this was only confirmation bias than there wouldnt be all these people jumping on board and then getting their friends onboard.

Lots of folks reading this blog have already started Reviv and felt some effects... and many are now getting friends and family onboard.

I counted the other day and I already have over 40 pieces of positive feedback from folks that have tried Reviv and wrote that they are feeling some kind of benefit. I dont yet share this as id need their permission first.

It's a bit like Mewing... if Mewing was complete BS it would not have blown up and gotten billions of views on tiktok and youtube.

Compare that to the hundreds of blogs on Substack that are also probably based on a high degree of confirmation bias and barely anyone pays any attention to them. Because there is no foundation of truth in them. There is only belief.
