Don't think biomechanics matter? Think again.
Here is simple proof that biomechanics relating to the teeth matter a LOT
In 2014 a TMJ dentist in Vietnam drilled my molars almost completely flat. He claimed at the time that he needed to correct my dental contacts.
Within a few months I felt like i’d aged a decade.
I couldn’t retain any information for more than a couple of minutes. I literally had to type everything that someone told to me in order to retain anything.
Also my neurological system was a mess. I’d gone from someone that had always been a very social person to a hermit who had constant anxiety.
Meanwhile I was doing the same exercise and diet routine I’d done my entire life (at the time I was 37 years old).
So what happened to me?
Well there are some simple biomechanics that are reliant on teeth. Particularly the height of the teeth.
And so if you were to grind your teeth down naturally or unnaturally, this would have a massive negative impact on your skull, spine and all of your organs.
We all grind down our teeth in life with time and we call it ‘aging’. It happens slowly so we don’t put together the cause and effect.
But when you do it unnaturally as had happened to me… the cause & effect start to become quite clear.
Another case like mine…the case of Marcello
Back in early 2015 in the facebook TMJ forums I met another guy with a similar story named Marcello. He’d been running marathons in his mid-40s and was in great shape.
But he had a filling that needed replacing and the dentist told him that he should also correct his ‘dental contacts’.
The dentist drilled the cusps off Marcello’s teeth and within 6 months Marcello went from running marathons to having cervical dystonia (a devastating disease in which you have uncontrollable muscle spasm that pulls your neck).
Marcello stayed that way for about the next 7 years. It destroyed his career, his family, and much more.
It was when I heard Marcello’s story and we became friends that I started to really understand the cause & effect that I talk about above.
Both Marcello and I have fully recovered
Now this is a very important point. Marcello in 2024 is now back running marathons and looks great. He has pieced together his life.
I feel awesome daily at 47 years old.
How? Well, we fully reversed the effects of what had happened to us.
Because it was just biomechanics in the end. You can think of it like physics.
There were forces that caused our problem. And we used the opposite force to cure our problem.
I’ve heard of not less than 5 more cases like ours over the past decade
It’s important to remember that i’ve been in this ‘game’ since 2014. And from late 2014 till mid 2019 I was very active in numerous TMJ-related Facebook groups.
I got to know hundreds of people and the patterns of how this works started to really show themselves to me.
And during that time I got to know of more patients like me and Marcello. And similar things happened to those folks.
Apparently some dentists that were trained in ‘TMJ’ had been incorrectly taught that you need to correct dental contacts by drilling down the cusps of teeth.
Whereas in reality this is no less damaging than if you throw a person off a 7-story building. The only difference being that the effects are much slower.
Now for Ken’s law
Ken’s law is that if you were to unnaturally drill at least 1mm off the height of a person’s teeth (eg. their cusps) than there will ALWAYS be massive negative impacts on them both physically and eventually neurologically.
You will not find ANY exceptions to this rule. Trust me.
I’ve been looking at this shit for ten years looking to prove this rule wrong.
And so alarm bells should be ringing off in your ears…
“WTF!! If you ruin a person physically and neurologically by drilling down their teeth than teeth must play a very fucking important role in the health of a human being.”
And your alarm bells would be spot on.
The good news is that you can use those same physics to reverse the damage. And even go beyond.
From damaged goods to fucking X-men
I expect to be in better shape physically and neurologically than i was at 25 yrs old by the end of this year at 47 yrs old. And I am already about 90% the way there.
And i will have done this while COMPLETELY IGNORING eating healthy and exercising.
And i’m absolutely sure the same rules apply to every human being on the planet.
But there are tons of nuances that explain why humanity has concluded that diet and exercise are so important.. and i will explain this in future posts.
So stay tuned…
